Remember the June 14th Burger Bike Ride culminating at the National Museum of Wildlife Art (NMWA)?
Yo, guess what? NMWA’s June 14th outdoor–outside, not inside—Mix’d Media segues off the end of that ride. NMWA will celebrate the new sculpture trail’s grand opening 7-10:00 pm. Stick around and be a part of the festivities~~~sculptor trail artists Sandy Scott and Don Rambadt will be on hand to talk about their respective sculptures, Screen Door Porch supplies the music, and there will be kite-making! And free burgers!!!! Or, if you choose, a free hot dog!!! They have to be yummy, the hot food is served up by Rising Sage Café. Admission is free; those who cannot bike to the museum that day may also attend, free of charge. The museum joins Jackson Hole Public Art, the Fire Festival, Jackson Hole Community Pathways and Friends of Pathways for the outdoor Mix’d Media events.
On Saturday, June 16th, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., approximately 40 artists will take part in NMWA’s Plein Air Festival. The event includes a four-hour paint-out and the public is invited to come watch the artists work. A family-friendly event, the festival will be held on the museum grounds. Kids can take part in an animal Pictionary game. There’s a BBQ cookoff; you get to taste the entries and choose the yummiest. Admission is free, art will available be for sale. Tix for the BBQ are $10 for 10 “tastes;” $25 for all the “tastes” you can handle!
